General Guidance for Co-Branded Collateral
Channel Partners often co-brand our marketing material and/or create their own marketing material around MSA products and brand. Channel Partner logo(s) should not appear larger or more dominant than the MSA logo. Logo sizes should be visually balanced. Since Channel Partner logos can vary widely in proportion, the designer should use their best judgment for visual sizing.
Here are the guidelines and best practices for creating new and rebranding our collateral, including bulletins, social media posts, videos, advertisements, and more:
Literature
Ensure all collateral have a consistent visual appearance and apply designs globally while maintaining creative flexibility and continuity.
- Templates: Use the literature templates according to the literature template guide (linked below). Logo Positioning: Place the MSA logo in the upper right corner and the partner logo in the upper or lower left corner.
- Logo Visual Balance: Ensure all logos are visually balanced so that no logo appears dominant.
- Logo Spacing: Maintain a minimum distance of one logo width between the individual logos.
Social, Digital, and Offline Advertisements
Ensure all co-branded social media and digital/offline ads have a consistent visual appearance and apply designs globally while maintaining creative flexibility and continuity.
- Logo Positioning: Place the MSA logo in the upper right corner and the partner logo in the upper or lower left corner.
- Logo Visual Balance: Ensure all logos are visually balanced so that no logo appears dominant.
- Logo Spacing: Maintain a minimum distance of one logo width between the individual logos.
Vehicle
MSA vehicles are omnipresent representatives of the MSA brand. Providing support to our customers and partners offers a great opportunity to connect high-quality service to the MSA brand through attractive and well-thought-out vehicle branding. Vehicle branding guidelines standardize the visual identity for MSA vehicles.
The MSA logo, or MSA Services and Solutions logo, should appear on the side and back of all MSA vehicles along with the MSA website.
The MSA logo must be used in full color. On dark vehicles, the reverse version with white tagline is to be used. The exclusion zone (minimum distance around the logo) should also be observed. Furthermore, all other MSA logo usage guidelines must be applied. To make sure the website is shown in the correct manner, please use vectorized eps files, either in black (for light vehicle colors) or white (for dark colors).
Use Myriad Pro SemiCondensed in black or white when writing descriptor text or other information.
Base Color
In order to achieve a consistent look of all MSA vehicles, the MSA color scheme should be applied. Choose a white, black or silver vehicle whenever possible.
Logo Placement
The MSA logo must be placed on the vehicle’s most prominent plain surface. These include the side panels/doors and the rear section of the vehicle. Ideally, the logo must be placed on a continuous surface to ensure that it doesn’t split while opening/closing compartments/doors.
The logotype may vary in size; use sound judgement and check the size with the Global Brand Strategy Team if there is any uncertainty.
Trucks, Wagons, and SUVs
On the back of the vehicle, the MSA logo is to be placed prominently on the right side of the window/tailgate. The website appears on the opposite side, aligned with the bottom of the MSA rectangle.
On the side of the vehicle, the logo is centrally placed on the front door. The website should be positioned on the rear of the vehicle.
Vans
On the back of minivans, the MSA logo and website are to be placed similar to station wagons. On bigger vans, position the logo on the top and the website on the lower left.
On the side of the vehicle, the logo is placed in the upper rear section. The website is located at the front, aligned with the MSA logo.
Trailers
On the back of a trailer, the MSA logo is to be placed prominently on the top center and the website diagonally opposite on the lower center. The area in between can be used for pictures, graphics or other information.
On the side of the trailer, the logo is placed in the upper rear section. The website should be positioned in the lower rear, aligning with the MSA logo. The rest of the surface is reserved for pictures or graphics. Please be sure to consider the exclusion zone around the logo.
